EMERGENCY CALLOUTS
The jobs we get called for most
If water is where it shouldn't be, or you can smell gas, call us. These are the jobs we're on the road for across the Northern Beaches every week.
Burst pipes and major leaks
A split pipe under the sink or behind a wall can flood a room in minutes. We shut off the water, stop the damage and replace the section on the spot.
Flooding from a washing machine or dishwasher
A hose that's let go or a machine that's backed up can soak a kitchen or laundry fast. We isolate the supply, clear the cause and get the water moving again.
Blocked drains and overflowing toilets
A toilet that won't stop rising or a drain that's backed up needs sorting before anyone can use the bathroom. We clear it the same day, most jobs from $220.
No hot water right when you need it
A cold shower on a Tuesday is one thing. No hot water with a house full of guests is another. We diagnose the fault on the spot, or quote a replacement installed from $1,450.
A gas smell or suspected leak
If you can smell gas, turn off the supply at the meter and call us straight away. A licensed gasfitter finds the fault and makes the property safe.
A hot water unit that's burst or failed
A tank that's split on a Dee Why balcony or a unit that's died in a Mona Vale garage both mean water where it shouldn't be. We replace units the same day.
HOW IT WORKS
From your call to a fixed problem
No guesswork, no surprise bill. Here's exactly what happens once you pick up the phone.
Call any time, day or night
Phone 02 9000 1234 and speak to a real person, not a message bank. We're on call for emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Get a time and a fixed price
We give you an arrival window and a fixed price for the callout before anyone drives out. The $99 callout fee is waived the moment the job goes ahead.
A licensed plumber turns up and fixes it
Your plumber assesses the job on site, confirms the price in writing, and gets started. No surprises once the van's in your driveway.
Job done, guaranteed for 12 months
We clean up, explain what we did, and back the work for 12 months. If something's not right, we come back and put it right.
WHY NORTHERN BEACHES HOMES CALL US
Fixed price, same day, no surprises
Three things set an emergency callout with us apart from a stranger with a van: the price in writing, the speed, and who's actually at your door.
The price in writing before we start
We quote the callout and the fix before any work begins, and you sign off on it before we touch a thing.
There's no surprise bill at the end, and no charge for the quote itself if you decide to go ahead.
Same-day callouts, Northern Beaches
Call before midday and we're usually on site the same afternoon, anywhere from Manly to Palm Beach.
Every job guaranteed for 12 months
If a fix doesn't hold, we come back and sort it at no extra cost. That's true for a tap washer and a hot water install alike.
Licensed plumber and gasfitter
Every job is carried out under NSW licence 123456C, by a plumber qualified to work on both water and gas.
15 years on the Northern Beaches
We know the older homes in Manly, the units in Dee Why and the sprawling blocks in Terrey Hills, because we've been fixing them for 15 years.
EMERGENCY CALLOUT FAQ
Questions before you call
Here's what Northern Beaches residents ask before booking an emergency callout. Can't find yours? Phone 02 9000 1234 and ask us directly.
What counts as an emergency?
A burst pipe, a toilet that won't stop overflowing, no hot water in a house full of people, or a smell of gas all count. If water or gas is where it shouldn't be, call us and we'll tell you how fast we can get there.
How fast can you get to me?
Most Northern Beaches callouts are seen the same day, often within a few hours of your call. We give you a realistic time window when you phone, not a vague 'sometime today'.
Do you charge extra for after-hours or weekend callouts?
The $99 callout fee applies any time you call, including nights, weekends and public holidays. It's waived completely once you decide to go ahead with the job.
What's the $99 callout fee, and when is it waived?
It covers the plumber coming out to assess the problem and give you a fixed price. If you accept the quote and we do the work, the fee is waived and you only pay for the job.
Do you give a price before starting work?
Yes. You'll have a fixed price in writing before any work begins, based on what the plumber finds on site. No hourly guessing and no bill that climbs as the job goes.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Every job is carried out under NSW plumbing and gasfitting licence 123456C.
What areas do you cover?
We work across Sydney's Northern Beaches, from Manly up to Palm Beach and everywhere in between.
What if the job turns out to be bigger than expected?
If the plumber finds more than the original problem, for example a second burst section of pipe, we stop and talk you through it, with a new fixed price, before doing any extra work.
Is there a guarantee on emergency work?
Every job we do, emergency or otherwise, is guaranteed for 12 months. If the same problem comes back, we come back too, at no extra charge.
What should I do while I wait for you to arrive?
For a burst pipe or major leak, turn off the water at the mains if you can reach it. For a gas smell, turn off the gas at the meter, open windows, and wait outside until we arrive.
